Euronet Ranks Number 36 on FORTUNE's Annual List of 100 Fastest-Growing Companies

LEAWOOD, KANSAS — September 18, 2006 — Euronet Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq: EEFT), a leading electronic payments provider, ranked number 36 overall on FORTUNE's annual list of the 100 Fastest-Growing Companies for 2006. The Company also placed fifth in the revenue growth category with a three-year annualized growth rate of 89 percent.

"We are very pleased to be recognized by FORTUNE for the second consecutive year as one of America's 100 Fastest-Growing Companies," said Michael J. Brown, Euronet Chairman and CEO. "Our vision to bring electronic financial payment convenience to millions of people who have not had it before is ingrained in each and every employee within our company. Our accolades are a testament to our success and we thank our employees for their hard work and commitment towards our long-term success."

Only 43 of the 100 companies from last year's list appeared again this year in FORTUNE and Euronet was one of them. In addition to its overall ranking in 2005 as the 34th fastest growing company in America, Euronet also ranked among the top three companies in the revenue growth category.

According to the magazine, the 100 Fastest-Growing Companies list was based on three equally weighted factors: both profit and sales growth (for three years through the first quarter of 2006) and three-year total return to investors (through the second quarter of 2006). The overall rank is based on the sum of the three ranks. FORTUNE's 2006 100 Fastest-Growing Companies list can be found in the September 18, 2006 issue and is also available online at www.fortune.com.
