Euronet’s e-pay Australia expands with two top retailers

LEAWOOD, KANSAS—November 23, 2004—Euronet Worldwide's (Nasdaq: EEFT) subsidiary, e-pay Australia, today announced agreements with two new retailers—Franklins supermarkets and TeleChoice retail outlets—to sell recharge vouchers for prepaid mobile, prepaid calling card, prepaid Internet and prepaid mobile content through e-pay's terminals.

Through these two agreements, consumers of all the Australian mobile operators can top up their wireless phones at more than 158 new e-pay retail locations. The terminals at Franklins and TeleChoice have been rolled out and are live.

Franklins, which was established in 1941, is a leading discount supermarket chain selling packaged groceries and perishables. Franklins has 78 supermarkets in the greater Sydney, Central West, Central Coast and Hunter Valley regions of New South Wales. Franklins is the second supermarket chain in Australia to offer e-pay prepaid services.

TeleChoice is an Optus premium dealer chain in Australia with more than 80 retail outlets. All stores are located in major shopping centers around Australia. TeleChoice, which was launched in 1995, features stores that are owned and operated by individual business people in their local community and delivers a wide range of mobile phone choices.

"These two chain stores enhance our retail base with a diverse portfolio of desirable and convenient locations to top up prepaid phones," said Tom Cregan, Euronet vice president and managing director of e-pay Australia.

e-pay Australia's product offerings, including voucher-based products and electronic top-up or online products for providers, are available to both independent and major retailers alike operating in the supermarket, convenience and petroleum, mobile specialist, newsagent, and entertainment channels.
