Euronet Appoints Gareth Gumbley as Managing Director of the Prepaid Segment

LEAWOOD, Kan. -- Euronet Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: EEFT), a leading electronic payments provider, today announced the appointment of Gareth Gumbley as managing director of the Company's Prepaid Processing segment. In his new role, Gumbley will be responsible for strategic planning, operations and management of Euronet's prepaid subsidiaries on a global basis. Gumbley will report to Kevin Caponecchi, president of Euronet Worldwide and will be based in London.

Gumbley has a proven track record of achieving strong growth through effective leadership and has extensive international experience in the payments processing business. Gumbley has been the managing director of Euronet's prepaid businesses in Australia and New Zealand since November 2004. Under his leadership, the Company's Australia and New Zealand prepaid entities have grown considerably year on year to market leading positions. In addition, Gumbley has been developing valuable new business opportunities for the Company in Asia-Pacific, and was most recently instrumental in expanding Euronet's prepaid business into India.
